Nabed Solution – Intended Use

The Nabed solution includes the Nabed Smart Patch and the Nabed mobile application. The Smart Patch should be applied following the stated instructions by a qualified and trained person and then connected using BLE to the Nabed mobile application.

The Smart Patch captures the following:

  • Heart Rate
  • Respiration Rate
  • Single Lead ECG
  • Arrhythmia (based on a specific set of arrhythmias which may change)
  • Posture
  • Skin Temperature

When the Smart Patch is connected to the Nabed mobile application as instructed, the application will display all of the above readings. Users may also enter other inputs manually using third-party devices, such as blood pressure, blood glucose, and SpO₂.

Nabed may assist with insights for diagnosis and/or monitoring of some vitals; however, it does not replace medical judgment. Use must be supervised and interpreted by licensed healthcare professionals in accordance with local health regulations.

Nabed solution is NOT intended to be used in the following cases:

  • Without healthcare professionals' advice and assessment
  • For patients who have any serious or severe medical conditions
  • For patients who have implantable devices
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women
  • Patients with neuro-stimulators (may disrupt ECG data quality)
  • Patients exposed to high-frequency medical equipment or strong magnetic/electromagnetic fields (e.g., MRI)
  • To make final medical decisions based solely on provided readings

The Nabed mobile application may require access to your device's background location to provide certain features or functionalities. This access allows us to collect location data even when the app is not in use.

Lawful Basis (GDPR): Legitimate interests and explicit consent.

User Control: You may grant or deny background location access in your device settings. Denying background location may limit our ability to provide timely assistance in emergencies.

Data Usage & Sharing: Location data collected in the background is used solely to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals who have applied the Nabed Smart Patch. We do not share background location data with third parties unless required by law, with your explicit consent, or to protect vital interests in emergency medical situations.

Security Measures: We implement appropriate safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication, and regular access-control audits.

Retention: Location data is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes described or as required by applicable law.

Opt-Out: You can adjust your device settings or contact us at info@nabedcare.com for assistance. Note that opting out may limit emergency assistance features.
